Subject: Bone Marrow Registry
To: Jeff Fuson <jeff@ph-church.org>
I have a friend/coworker in the aviation department at Yum! and he and his wife need our help!
Last year, Patrick obtained a job here in Louisville after searching for a position in aviation for over 14 months. His wife, Karen and 7 year old twins have not been able to relocate from their home up north because the same week Patrick received his job offer with Yum!, his wife was diagnosed with re-occurring Leukemia. Chemotherapy has not been successful and she is in desperate need of a stem cell transplant.
Patrick’s wife, Karen, is currently waiting for that one caring stranger who is willing to donate his or her stem cells to save her life. Could you be the match?
If you have questions or would like more information about the Be The Match Foundation, please visit their website http://www.marrow.org/ .
Are you healthy and between the ages of 18-60? Support for initiatives such as this really and truly saves lives. Nothing is more powerful than that. Be the Match! The medical procedure for being a bone marrow donor is similar to sitting down and giving blood. Surgery is rarely necessary any longer.
Please think about joining the registry and let’s show this couple why Louisville is the greatest place to live!
There are actually 3 ways you can help:
1. Join the Registry by swabbing the inside of you mouth this Sunday after church. It will take about 10 – 15 minutes to complete the paperwork. Please have the following information with you if you intend to join: Name, full mailing address, email address and phone number of 2 contacts who do not live with you and a list of all medications.
2. Make a tax deductible donation.
3. Pray hard for Patrick and Karen.
I have attached a link to a news video that was done on Karen in her home town.

I will be bringing 50 donor kits with me on Sunday.
Thanks so much!
