Carla Lochner Prayer Request

I just found out through a mutual friend, that my best friend of 23 years, passed away this afternoon at 1:30.  Prayers for those of us who knew her well, and prayers for the family would be appreciated.  Thank you.  Carla.

Phos People Rock!

This is a shot of y'all serving powerfully and learning to 'Flex and Fly' with the Holy Spirit on the front lines of service. We learn best how to follow Jesus by just taking the next step of serving and watching what God can and will do with hands and feet ready to go and do whatever He says. So glad to be on this journey with you.
Jeff

You can still get in on the action tomorrow with Phos serving at Ironman ....

Check out #1, 3, & 4 below and you can get all the info you need to serve with us tomorrow.
Hope you'll join us.  It's a blast and a great way to pray for 3,000 athletes from all over the world while we serve them at the 'Special Needs Station' in Buckner.

Romans 12:1-2 reminds us that worship is sacrifice and I wanted to encourage you one more time to consider jumping in here and enjoying the sacrifice of service tomorrow with Phos.  Now, I'm off to the Health Clinic - see # 2.  (If you wanted to drop by to help I guarantee we can find a place for you to serve!)

1. Our Worship this Sunday will be serving @ IRONMAN LOUISVILLE.  What you need to know here.
2. This Saturday August 28....HEALTH CLINIC @ LaGrange Community Center - SIGN-UP to serve ASAP.  What you need to know here.
3. This Sunday August 29.... IRONMAN LOUISVILLE @ Buckner Baptist  - You must SIGN-UP to serve by midnight Tuesday, August 24 to receive an Ironman t-shirt.  What you need to know here.

Anne Whitefoot is in Baptist Hospital Northeast

Subject: Anne Whitefoot is in Baptist Hospital Northeast

Anne had an appendectomy last evening and is in Room 1406 at Baptist
Hospital Northeast (Tri-County).  I just got back from visiting her
and she is in good spirits.  She thinks she may be able to come home
tomorrow.  Matt is with her.  All she is asking for is prayers for
healing and cupcakes (she's on a clear liquid diet).  They both have
their cell phones, if you want to call.

Love,

Talley 'Tater Fest Invitation

Phos friends,
I'm forwarding this message on to you from Richard and Becka Talley because this couple is fully integrated in the life of Phos...they are growing, giving, serving, plugged into an LXG, hosting Middle School Boys LXG, helping with hospitality and set up, etc.  What I mean is, they are running hard with us at Phos and seeking to grow in Christ.  So, I'm happy to pass this along.
Enjoy, Jeff

To: Jeff Fuson <jeff@ph-church.org>

Hey Jeff,

I was wondering if you could add this invitation to the Phos news site sometime in the next couple of days?  This is for the party Rich and I have each year during the Fall.

I was going to pass out printed invitations this past Sunday but forgot them at home and then considering we won't technically be at church this Sunday, our time drawing short and I thought this would be the best way for the invitation to get to the majority of the people.

We are eager to invite and have our new friends at Phos come out to join our old friends and family and grow our party just that much more!

Thanks so much,
Becka

Talley Tater Fest 2010

Are you a Dick-tater, Sweet-tater, Emma-tater, Hesi-tater or simply a Speck-tater??

No matter what type of tater you are bring the tater tots and come on down to the fourth annual Talley Tater Fest!!

Saturday September 18th, 2010, 3pm until ???

We are blessed to have such awesome family and friends so what better excuse is there for throwing a party and getting everyone together??
There will be fishing (BYOW), hayrides, horseshoes, cornhole, bonfire after dark (with possible visit from local fire department), inflatable slide for the kids, dunking booth, karaoke with DJ and whatever else we can come up with, not to mention the tater tossing and Spud-zilla!!!!!

SO if you have any old wrinkled taters that you’re getting ready to throw out DON’T DO IT!!  Bring ‘em with you….they WILL get used!

We will be grilling hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken and various roadkill. Please bring a side dish or dessert and a two-liter of your favorite drink to share. You may also want to bring your own lawn chair (we have some but never enough).

BYOB, if you would like, but remember this is a family party so please no craziness in this category!

Directions: I-71 North (or South) to Exit 17. Turn right at top of ramp (toward Crestwood). Make your first available left (across from Ford dealer). Cross over RR tracks & turn right. House is approx. 1/2 mile down on the left. Your GPS will likely not get you here so turn it off once you get off the exit.

5450 Old LaGrange Rd. Crestwood, KY

RSVP - 241-1706 or RDTalley@arcomky.com

Hope to see ya there!!

Subject: Prayer request

Hi South Oldham LXG (aka the BEST Small Group!)

I'm asking for prayers today as Owen and I embark on our own adventure.  He and I will be flying to PA for the next week.  We are flying into Cleveland and my parents are picking us up at the airport this evening and we will be flying back next Tuesday.  Have to admit I'm a little nervous being on my own in the airport with Owen so lift up so prayers for us today and for safe flights as well.

And keep Nathan company while we are gone. ;)
Thanks!!
~Jackie
