Family Worship Sunday

Hi, kids!

As this coming Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, it will be our first family worship Sunday!  We will have nursery and preschool care available, but for all kindergarteners and up, we ask that you join your family in the service this week.  From now on, the first Sunday of each month will be a great chance for you to learn about singing to God, giving an offering and taking communion.  You can hear the sermon with the adults and teens and continue to learn about what it means to follow God with our lives.  We hope you'll join us this coming week!

(The week after this, our new Kid Time begins!  Visit phoschurch.com for details soon to come!)

Thank you!

Three more weeks!

Hi there!

Just a reminder that we all have one three more weeks (April 3, 10 and 17) left to donate plastic Easter eggs and nut-free candy for the 1000 Easter Egg Hunt held at Wendell Moore Park after church on Easter, April 24.

Parents, I hope you can donate... and kids, I especially hope you can come, bringing a couple friends!

Thanks!

I checked this out at www.snopes.com and it is true! CAMD

Cleaning for a Reason

If you know any woman currently undergoing chemotherapy, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning - once per month for 4 months while she is in treatment. All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service. This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547 partners to help these women. It's our job to pass the word and let them know that there are people out there that care. Be a blessing to someone and pass this information along.

You may not know someone going through chemo, but someone on your email list might. Please forward!

Hi Jeff!!

You probably already know this, but I was taking a few minutes to complete my Monvee Roadmap this morning and thought I would see if the webpages were large enough for me to read on my iPhone.  Before I went to Monvee.com, I thought I would see if there happened to be an app for it, and sure enough, there is.  Don’t know how many people have iPhones or would want to download the App, but I’ve been going through it the past 20 to 30 minutes and think it will help me a great deal to have it on my phone.  You might want to mention it’s available.  Search iMonvee at the iPhone App store.  I feel like there is probably an app for the androids as well, but I don’t know.

And, email laura@phoschurch.com if you can help hide eggs on Easter morning before church at 8:30.

For those of you who are inspired by nature to see God at work... enjoy this ...

First, View the images below & then check out these links:    Psalm 104  / A Sermon by one of the most famous preachers of all time.

What is on that wall  In Italy?

This is the Diga del Cingino dam in Italy
but look closer... see spots on the dam wall?

They are European Ibex and they like to eat the moss and lichen and

lick the salt off the dam wall.

Is that cool or what?

Simply Amazing ....

I'm reading all four Gospels as part of a personal time of preparation for Easter.  My hope is to see the Good News of Jesus through fresh eyes and let God show me the story in new ways.

Today I read the first three chapters of Luke and I'm astounded at the simple obedience of the cast of characters showcased so far.  There was Zechariah and Elizabeth -- a couple too old to have a son -- who become the parents of John the Baptist, and of course Mary and Joseph - a couple who had never been intimate with one another [ who says you can't date without sex? ] -- who bring the Saviour of the World onto center stage through simple obedience.

I wondered if they had any idea in their day to day walk with God marked by simple obedience that they were part of a story that was & is simply amazing?

More than that, I wondered if each of us may be participating in some way in this simply amazing story through daily simple obedience?  I have a hunch that we are.  So, today, don't worry about being an extraordinary human being -- just be simply obedient to what you are learning in your Bible and by the power of the Holy Spirit and that will be simply amazing.
