Snow-tubing RESCHEDULED

Friends,

The snow-tubing trip we take with Phos has been an incredible one in the past. And, we hope to continue that. However, we have learned that only 6 of the 24 lanes are open on the snow-tubing course. They have only been able to make an inch of snow this week. It has been too warm for them to prepare the course with snow and with today's rain and slush and cold coming in, it doesn't look like it will be a great day on the slopes.

So, here is the plan:

We are rescheduling to Sunday, February 5. We will leave that day after service, grab lunch on the way and be at the slopes around 4 to tube for two hours, as we would have today. The folks at Perfect North think that this is a suitable time to reschedule and that with temperatures dropping into next week, they will be able to make the snow needed to have a great day!

Also, please know... I am so sorry if this is messing up any of your all's Christmas plans! I hope that you can find some great things to do with your families today and make it on the 5th of February with Phos. (However, if you REALLY want to still go today, Perfect North is still open and you can head up there on your own!)

Thank you for understanding and please let me know if you cannot make it on the 5th so I can adjust our group number accordingly.

Thank you!
Laura

Merry Christmas from Steve Myers!

This is Steve Myers pulling himself up from his wheelchair to stand on his combo ramp-jungle gym that some Phos men built a few weeks ago. Keep praying for Steve. He's in good spirits determined to have a speedy recovery. Your prayers and physical help make all the difference. Way to go Jeff Monnin, Jeff Wilson, John Carpenter and Robbie Mueller! The ramp is strong and brought a lot of hope to Steve.

Worship Center and Cafe' Reset - One Last Time!

The carpet installation will be done late Thursday evening and it's looking amazing.  I'm loving how it's all shaping up.

So, we have one last time for a long time to put the chairs back in the worship center and to reset the Christmas decorations and prepare the Cafe' for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Worship here at 4200.

Would you swing by on Friday evening between 5:30 and 7 and help do this one last reset?
It won't take long if several show up.

Thanks in advance for helping get this pulled together one more time.

Merry Christmas,
Jeff

Christmas is Jesus Birthday, remember ….

Just wanted to drop a quick note to remind you of what you already know.  Christmas began and has significance because of the greatest gift ever given -- God's only son, Jesus Christ.

I hope you'll arrange you family Christmas plans around worshiping this Christ Child.  You'll help your children understand the real meaning of Christmas by making this a priority and working gift giving and other experiences around so that you take a few minutes to honor Jesus.   You'll be glad you did.  Christmas only falls on a Sunday a few times in your children's lives so I promise they'll benefit from honoring Christ with you at worship this weekend.

We have two unique experiences for you and your family this Christmas:

Christmas Eve Communion is at 5 PM at 4200.  This will be a simply powerful moment with your family to gather and hear the Christmas story and celebrate communion and then be on your way.  You'll be out of 4200 by 6 unless you choose to hang around longer!

Christmas Day Worship Experience as at 10:30 AM at 4200.  You'll be re-energized by the greatest gift ever given.

Merry Christmas,

Jeff Fuson

Kids Singing at Phos on Christmas Day

Calling all kids!  We need your help in leading our church in singing on Christmas Day (December 25).

This Sunday, come at 10 AM to practice with the band.  Until then, practice the songs below!

Click HERE for the link to "Born Is The King."  You'll be singing the words "It's Christmas" every time the choir sings them and the "do, do, do, do, do..." part!

Click HERE for the link to "Joy To The World."  You'll be learning these three verses:

Verse 1
Joy to the world! the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.
Verse 2
Joy to the world! the Savior reigns;
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
Verse 3
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Thank you!

Date: December 6, 2011 12:03:47 PM EST
To: Phos Church <jeff@phoschurch.com>
Subject: Chewy

He's a puggle. Pug mixed with beagle. Medium size. Super cute :] he does shed a lot though. And he's very hyper. But he's a sweet dog. And... I think that's really all there is. He doesn't need anything special. But he does love to run around and go for walks or runs.
